Merdeka / Malaysia Walk 2011

On the 16th of September 2011 , ICC Klang organised "Malaysia Walk" in conjunction with "Hari Malysia". The walk commenced at 9.30a.m where Interactors walked around Klang town with banners and flags of 14 states in Malaysia. We promoted the spirit of patriotisme among students to show the public that we are proud to be a Malsysian. As we walked, motorists, cars, buses and other vehicles honked at us to show their support to us. All the Interactors had fun singing some patriotic songs along the way ! After the walk , interactors gathered back at the Royal Klang Club for a speech from Datuk Master A.R Peter about UNITY and followed by performance of each shool. The event successfully adjourned at 1.30p.m, IT WAS A GREAT EVENT !

The formation of the new federation was planned to occur on June 1, 1963, but was later postponed to August 31, 1963, in order to coincide with the sixth Hari Merdeka. Several issues related to the Indonesian and the Filipino objection to the formation of Malaysia delayed the declaration to September 16 of the same year. The postponement was also done to allow the United Nations team time to conduct referendums in North Borneo (now Sabah) and Sarawak regarding the two states participation in a new federation."

VIVA LA INTERACT  :)

ICC PET ADOPTION PROGRAM

On the 27th of August, the Interact Co-ordiating Council ( ICC ) organized a pet adoption programme, in front of our New Gen director, Rtn. Ravichanthrika’s clinic at Bayu Perdana. This event started at 10.30am with the arrival of Rotary President, Rtn. Gerard Lazarus and Rotarian Anthony Das. The main objective of this programme is to spread the animal abuse awarness to all the people. Our interactors alongside with interactors from all the nine schools, helped to make this programme a success. A total of 13 pets were adopted and many other pets were brought in the clinic to be examined by the vetinarian, Rtn. Ravichanthrika herself. Eventhough some of us can’t adopt the puppies because of our parents dissaproval, we had lots of fun and new experiences by playing with the puppies and handling them. We packed up at 6.30pm and cleaned up the whole place before leaving back to our houses exhausted.

Senior Farewell Party

On the 21st of August 2011 , ACS interactors organized a farewell party for our seniors. It was held in Premiere Hotel ( near Tesco) , Bukit Tinggi . The main objective of this project is to appreciate everything our Seniors have done for the club. a buffet style lunch was served as well as games and a few performances just to entertain our seniors. 

Before we bid Farewell to our seniors all of us sang along Viva La Interact and some other english songs. Some souvenirs were also given to our Seniors too !! :D

GERKORAMA ( Movie Screenings )

During the Gerkorama of SMK Methodist (ACS) Klang (30 July), the Interact Club of SMK Methodist ACS organized a Movie Screening. This project is one of the Fund Raising project of the term of 2011/12. It's a movie show during the day. Movies that were played on that day was KL Gangster, Transformer 3, X-Men First Class and Fast and Furious 5. Tickets were sold with reasonable price, RM 3. Many students and outsiders came to watch and support our project. Thank you to everyone who helped and support for this project :)
