On the 16th of September 2011 , ICC Klang organised "Malaysia Walk" in conjunction with "Hari Malysia". The walk commenced at 9.30a.m where Interactors walked around Klang town with banners and flags of 14 states in Malaysia. We promoted the spirit of patriotisme among students to show the public that we are proud to be a Malsysian. As we walked, motorists, cars, buses and other vehicles honked at us to show their support to us. All the Interactors had fun singing some patriotic songs along the way ! After the walk , interactors gathered back at the Royal Klang Club for a speech from Datuk Master A.R Peter about UNITY and followed by performance of each shool. The event successfully adjourned at 1.30p.m, IT WAS A GREAT EVENT !

"It marked the joining together of Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak, and Singapore to form Malaysia. The formation of the new federation was planned to occur on June 1, 1963, but was later postponed to August 31, 1963, in order to coincide with the sixth Hari Merdeka. Several issues related to the Indonesian and the Filipino objection to the formation of Malaysia delayed the declaration to September 16 of the same year. The postponement was also done to allow the United Nations team time to conduct referendums in North Borneo (now Sabah) and Sarawak regarding the two states participation in a new federation."

ICC PET ADOPTION PROGRAM

On the 27th of August, the Interact Co-ordiating Council ( ICC ) organized a pet adoption programme, in front of our New Gen director, Rtn. Ravichanthrika’s clinic at Bayu Perdana. This event started at 10.30am with the arrival of Rotary President, Rtn. Gerard Lazarus and Rotarian Anthony Das. The main objective of this programme is to spread the animal abuse awarness to all the people. Our interactors alongside with interactors from all the nine schools, helped to make this programme a success. A total of 13 pets were adopted and many other pets were brought in the clinic to be examined by the vetinarian, Rtn. Ravichanthrika herself. Eventhough some of us can’t adopt the puppies because of our parents dissaproval, we had lots of fun and new experiences by playing with the puppies and handling them. We packed up at 6.30pm and cleaned up the whole place before leaving back to our houses exhausted.

Senior Farewell Party

On the 21st of August 2011 , ACS interactors organized a farewell party for our seniors. It was held in Premiere Hotel ( near Tesco) , Bukit Tinggi . The main objective of this project is to appreciate everything our Seniors have done for the club. a buffet style lunch was served as well as games and a few performances just to entertain our seniors.

Before we bid Farewell to our seniors all of us sang along Viva La Interact and some other english songs. Some souvenirs were also given to our Seniors too !! :D

GERKORAMA ( Movie Screenings )

During the Gerkorama of SMK Methodist (ACS) Klang (30 July), the Interact Club of SMK Methodist ACS organized a Movie Screening. This project is one of the Fund Raising project of the term of 2011/12. It's a movie show during the day. Movies that were played on that day was KL Gangster, Transformer 3, X-Men First Class and Fast and Furious 5. Tickets were sold with reasonable price, RM 3. Many students and outsiders came to watch and support our project. Thank you to everyone who helped and support for this project :)

Music Aid 2

The Interact Club of ACS Klang is having its Music Aid 2 and you're all invited to come and support this event.
Music Aid 2 is a replica of our Music Aid event 2007 with a little extra twist and spice.

Details of the event are as stated below:

A little something about Music Aid:

Okay guys, Music Aid is basically a charity concert organized by the Interact Club of SMK Methodist (ACS) Klang. The purpose of this event is to raise money which will then be donated to the Malaysia Glaucoma Society. The Malaysia Glaucoma Society is a volunteer foundation which helps in handling Glaucoma, a condition of the eye where one can eventually go blind. Currently, they are in need of RM500 000 for equipment and so on. Hence, we, the Interact Club of ACS, are here to aid their fight against Glaucoma. So everyone out there, please join us in aiding them! Its for the good of others. We have local artists, dance crews, etc coming down to help us with this, you can too =)

Guys, updates for the DIC is finally here. All interactors attending the district interact conference will have to meet up at Stadium Sultan Sulaiman, Klang by 7.45 a.m, this Friday, 3rd of December. We will be leaving at exactly 8.00 A.M.

ACS Interactors, please wear you new Interact T-shirt and be early.

Below are the details for the attire throughout the conference.

Dress Code:

- All Interactors / participants are advised to dress appropriately at all times.

- NO slippers, sandals, sleeveless shirts, mini skirts, shorts, etc. will be permitted during the Conference.

Recycling Campaign

We'll be going housing areas around Taman Melawis, Teluk Pulai and Tepi Sungai collecting recyclable items house by house. Pls bring any recyclable items from your house too e.g. newspapers, plastic bottles...Wear your new Interact T-shirt, if don't have one pls pay RM 25 to Krish on Monday, he'll be bringing the t-shirts. Attendance is a compulsory, since it's our Interact activity. No excuses. For those, who haven't even attended one Interact activity, pls do so because attendance is very very important for your KOKO marks. Bring rubbish bags if you have. Don't forget about the recyclable items from your house, bring it.

I-World Futsal Tournament

It's a futsal tournament organized by the Interact Club of SMK Methodist ACS Klang, open to anyone aged 17 and below. Need to blow off some steam, or just kick some other team's butt? Join now! Its all about futsal, show your skills, tricks, power, everything you've got.

The Interact Club of SMK Methodist ACS Klang revealed its club t-shirt for the term 2010 / 2011 during the start of November.

We started the month of October with the Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon organized by the Arunamari Hospital and Rotary Club of Klang. It was held at the Giant car park area on the 3rd of October. The event was joined by not only the 9 interact schools, but also the other schools in Klang district. 21 interactors from SMK Methodist ACS Klang joined the event .The students gathered at the car park around 8am. They were briefed about the walkathon and all of them were given t-shirts and caps each. The main rule was not t run, since it was a walkathon. The first 10 , to finish the lap was given medal. Int Krishnahveen won the 10th place. Students, were served with foods and drinks later on. Then, the Rotarians and Arunamari doctors gave a talk about the awareness of breast cancer among Malaysians. The event ended around 10.30am.

On 26^th of September

Around 20 interactors from SMK Methodist (ACS),Klang gathered for the finalization process and have the school ready for an event.Stages were set and decorations were perfectly done by 3pm but unfortunately rain stormed and causing a change in plan. As we were planning to abort this event , we had ideas of changing the venue . Thus , Fund raising project was turned as a community service due to bad weather condition. Changes made was then told through notices , phone calls and also facebook. We were amazed by the support given by interactors of different school as they attended this event at a different spot. At 7 pm , the event started.

Merdeka Walk

On the 31^st August 2010, at 7.30 am, Interact Clubs of Klang District had an event called “Merdeka Walk” organized by Interact C0-ordinating Council (ICC). The objective of this event was to unite interactors of various races and different schools.In this event, interactors frm 9 schools from Klang Valley took part. 26 interactors from ACS joined this event.The route of the walk was from Royal Klang Club to Jalan Taiping and then back to Royal Klang Club. All the interactors gathered at the club at 7.45 am and the walk began.The walk was lead by Rt.Gerard. As interactors were walking, so much of noises was made and outsiders showed their support by honking and waving hands. At 10 am, interactors reached the club and breakfast was served to everyone. Food served was delicious as ever. The next event of the day was being conducted by an interactor from MGS Klang. In this event , participants from all schools have to present the poster they designed. Posters were designed based on the theme of the year.Interactors have to explain in their own creative way. As the closing ceremony, Interactors from ACS, Batu Unjur , Convent and La Salle performed and the event ended at around 12. This event was so amazing and proved to be the best so far for this term.

This was our 3rd successful meeting. Perhaps it was as sweet as ever.

During this meeting , we discussed about many upcoming events and so on.

All new interactors were asked to complete their payments(reg. fee). Our club's president gave a talk about expectations that he's having on his interactors. Then , our Club Service Dir. , Int. Krish ,officially introduced our club's t-shirt.

Leadership Training Seminar

The leadership seminar is very important as it enables newly appointed Board of Directors’ to get a rough idea about their responsibilities.This seminar was held at Klang Executive Club (KEC) on the 11^TH of July 2010.It started sharp at 8 am.Hundreds of interactors attended this seminar as it proved to be one of the best seminars ever. The agenda of this event is shown below :

Pn. Mehala attended our 3rd Board Meeting along with our fellow board members including Int. Pravin Kamachee, Int. Saravanan, Int. Qusai and many more.

In this meeting, Int. Janarthana had given out the reports concerning the our club's IU Day report. This report includes the total revenue we'd got from the IU Day.

ACS IU Day 2010

The International Understanding Day 2010 was held by Interact Club of SMK Methodist ( ACS ) Klang in HICT Auditorium Hall on the 20th March of 2010.

Around 7:30AM, ACS' Interactors came and get themselves ready for the event.

The event started off with our National Anthem ' Negaraku ' and followed by United States of America and Republic of Iraq's National Anthem.

Then, the audiences' were shown the video taken by Aoki,

Followed up by the speeches delievered by SMK Methodist ACS Klang's First Woman Principal and then President Heng Gee Eng.

Later, a series of performances had been performed by our very own interactors. Firstly, it's Hemanath Dharmalingam a.k.a Uncle Rabbit. Nice Rappin'

Then, Scott Soe and Edmund went on stage to perform a song, titled ' The Great Escape ' by Boys Likes Girls. Superb Performance!

Interact had a meeting yesterday (22/1/2010) at 5 Gigih.

Int. Pravin talked about the Recycling Project.

Interactors were being asked to give the old newspaper or recyclable items to the Form Representatives or Int. Pravin himself.

The recyclable items will be stored in 5 Gigih class.

Lastly, Security. Those who are big-sized guys, it's time to show that you are able to protect people. Find Int. Sam Chee Keong if you want to take part in the Security role. There's no smoking or fightings going to happen around the HICT Auditorium Hall.

Hello Dear Interactors.
There is big news that have to be announced here now.
Pn. Chandrika and Pn. Cecilia will be NO longer the Teacher Advisors for our club.
The teachers who are going to replace them are Cik. Malini and Pn. Parimala. They will be the teacher advisors for our club from Year 2010. This news might be shocking but I believe that all of us should welcome our new teacher advisors with open arms. I would also like to take this oppurtunity to thank Pn. Cecilia and Pn. Chandrika for guiding us thoroughout the past 6 months. Thank You Very Much Teacher! Whatever it is, we'll still love both of you!

dear interactors who are going for the District Conference,

there are some info which you all need to know and here they are:

1. For the Secretariats, please gather at Royal Klang Club on the 8th Dec 2009 at 8am sharp or before.

2. For the rest of the interactors, at Padang Sultan Sulaiman on the 10th Dec 2009, 8am sharp or before.

3. On the 13th, everyone will be leaving Inti at 3pm and will approximately reach Klang town by 4.30pm.

*Please arrange your transportation and remember, PUNCTUALITY. =)*

Dressing codes:
1. Opening ceremony which is on the 11th, everyone is required to wear either interact uniform with tie or school uniform.
2. Workshops, please wear your interact t-shirt. (each of you will receive 2 conference t-shirts too.)
3. Sports and outdoor events, collared t-shirt with track pants (no shorts)
4. Formal night/ Dinner, girls are required to wear either gown or blouse and skirt while for the guys, shirt, long pants and tie.

*no slipper, sandals, sleeveless shirts, mini skirts and shorts throughout the events*

and and Bring along pillow, blanket, toiletries and slippers(for bathroom use) too.

A special attention to Int. Lee Hao Jia,
please bring along your DSLR as you're the photographer for the event. =)

Hello people!

Shopping Spree was a great success, with the help of our Interactors and also certain non-Interactors. The kids from Happy Home arrived at Tesco at about 10.00 am. The shopping session made our Interactors and the kids to get to know each other well and also form a very good relationship. The main objective of this project is to buy new clothes for the kids in conjunction with the Childrens' Day on 31st October. A total of 14 Interactors helped out to accomplish this project. So, Thank You very much to all the Interactors who attended this Shopping Spree and making it a success. =D

The interact club of SMK ACS Klang is having a new plan for the kids from Happy Home! The Shopping Spree!! =D

Date: 14th November 2009
Time: 9.45 am (the kids will arrive at 10.00am)
Venue: Tesco, Bukit Tinggi.

We are getting 7 kids from Happy Home and 15 interactors are needed to help out in this project. Further information will be updated soon.

Hello people!
There's an update about our club activities. In conjunction with the school's "Projek Lestari", teachers have invited a speaker to give a motivational talk. So, our teachers wants us(Interact Club members) to conduct this event.

The details of this talk are as follows:
DATE: 12th November (Thurs)
TIME: 11.00am- 12.30pm
VENUE: Dewan Kuliah, ACS

On Thursday, we have to arrange the food for the listeners and the speaker, set up the projector and screen, and arrange one emcee for the day.
The food and drinks will be sponsored by the Interact Club of our school. All Interactors are required to attend this talk. Teacher and President, Int. Pravin want ALL the interactors to come to school on Thursday to attend this talk and support our combined project with the school's authority. This is a very special request from both of them. So, to all the Interactors, please show yourself up on this Thursday(at least.xD).

Next will be about the Shopping Spree. There will be a BOD meeting tomorrow in school to discuss about this project. So, all the BOD, please attend this meeting. Updates will be on this blog tomorrow once the confirmed details are obtained. Thank You for reading.

ICC Meeting 1/11/09

Well, here the updates on today's ICC meeting. The discussions were about the DGV, Food Fair and also Dist. Conference.

1) Dist. Gov. Visit
-all members should be there(HICT) by 2.30 pm.
-required 20 Interactors from each school

2) Food Fair
-10 Interact schools are divided into 2 teams to handle 4 food stalls each.
GROUP 1:
MGS,
Convent,
ACS,
Batu Unjur and
Sultan Abdul Samad.

Stalls which will be handled: Ice kacang, Cendol, Sandwiches and Curry Puffs.

-Int. Sam will be leading all the interactors from our school on this Food Fair.
-We have to find sponsors to subsidise these items.
-Tasks will be distributed equally among the 5 schools.

NOTE:
There will be a meeting next week once school starts. Information will be given later about the meeting. Please contact Int. Janarthana to give in your name for the DGV asap!

Hello ppl! So sorry for not updating this blog. We had some technical difficulties recently.
Well, as you guys know, we organised Talentime on the 26th of September which was a month ago. It was a successful project.
